A mechanic's lien or storage lien can be established against a vehicle by a mechanic or storage facility after the vehicle's owner fails to pay the repair or storage fees regardless of a lien on the title from a bank that may have ownership interest in the vehicle. If there is a lien, then you must send a notice of lien letter after repairs have been completed and you must wait 30 days for a reply from the lien holder.
